Binghamton, NY ~Okay, so here's a little mini review of Billie's shampoo bar and also her "Couture Beer Bar" which she sent me also, because she's cute as a button. I was very eager to try shampoo bars because everyone is going nuts over them. I have dry, oily (yes, both) color-treated, fine hair. First, let's talk about the scent: She sent me "Lemon Lime" which smells like the most awesome lemon pie or something. LOVE the scent. So I took it in the shower, and the thing just has insane, crazy lather. I wasn't sure how to even use it, so I rubbed the bar directly on my head and you just do a couple swishes around and that's all you need. My hair was extra gross before I used it too, because I cleaned all day in my pajamas and didn't take a shower until 4 pm. Don't judge me. ;o) So my hair feels really nice to the touch, but does feel like I'd have to use the conditioner bar, with it - which doesn't surprise me because I can't ever get away from conditioner. Maybe slightly "heavier" than I'm used to. There are no fly-aways like I usually have, so it almost feels like I put a little gel in my hair. I can see these things lasting forever. Thanks so much, Billie- I decided I want to try to make these. I think they're really cool, and yours are so nice! Now onto the soap - This really is lovely soap. I don't use animal fats but I absolutely adore how soap feels with it. There's just a certain creaminess that remains elusive in veggie soaps, I think, so it's a treat when I get to try one. The scent seems slightly floral (?) which isn't usually my favorite - but this is light and nice. Again, crazy lather and my skin feels wonderful having used it. So thanks, Billie. Lori, Michigan ~Saturday, November 28, 2009 I want to take a moment to bring some attention to a great soaper from Binghamton NY. She has a great selection of soap that feels just wonderful on the skin.   Billie's soap are all made from scratch using either the cold process or hot process method made with natural oils and lye the way soap should be made.   She also has other items as well.   Her lip balm is OUT OF THIS WORLD.   I'm a huge fan of lip balm I keep it stashed everywhere, and you must try hers out.   Both the Butter Pecan and the Honey are just wonderful.  I can't say enough about them. Currently I have the Watermelon soap in my bath and wow, it smells great and it feels good.  Not to mention how fun it looks!  It looks like it has real watermelon seeds in it !!!   It really feels good on the skin, so it's not over stripping the skin of it's natural oils.  It has wonderful lather to boot, which is very important to me.   I love lots of bubbly lather, like many people.   And it leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized without the tight drying feeling that yes some handmade soaps and leave the skin feeling soft and moisturized.   I highly recommend shopping with Billie at Emotions Bath and Body if your looking for some wonderful handmade soaps.   My time making bath soap is limited so I want to offer my buyers more choices that I use myself.
